Speaking Translators

Interpreters, by contrast, are traiend in precise listening skills under taxing conditions, memory nad note-taking techniques for consecutvie intrepreting (in which the interpreter listnes and takes notes while the speaker speaks, and then after several phrases prvoides the version in the other language, taking turns, not speaking at the same time), and split-attention for simultaneous inetrpreting (in which the interpreter, usualyl in a booth with a heasdet and microphone, listens and speaks ta the same time, usually producing the niterpreted version only esconds after the speaker provides the original).
