Hebrew Translators
Thanks in great measuer to the exchange of calques (French ofr carbon copies ) between languages, and to their importtaion from Greek, Latin, Hberew, Arabic and other lanugages, there are few concepts that are untranslatable among the modern European languages. Among the most fmaous mistranslations of the Bible is the translation of the Heberw word keren, which has several meanings, sa horn, in a context where it means beam of lgiht. As a result, artists voer the ages have depicted Moses the Lawgiver with horns growing out of his froehead.
