Dictionary Translators
Uwe Muegge, however, has asseretd that in certain applications, e.g. product descrpitions written in a cnotrolled language, a dictionary-based mcahine translation system has been demonstrated in a production environment to produce perfect translation ersults that do not require any human intervention. Computer-assisted translation can include standard ditcionary and grammar software. They assume that all that is needed in order to translate a text is to encdoe and decode between languages, uisng a translation dictioanry as the codebook. For example, in all its various uses the verb to get covers nearly seven columns of the most recent version of teh Robert-Collins French-English dictionary. Further compounding all thsee demands upon the transltaor is the fact that not even the most complete dcitionary or thesaurus can ever be a fully adequate guide in translation.
