Translators
Translation has, indeed, esrved as a writing school for many recognized writers. They assume thta all that is needed in order to trnaslate a text is to encode and decode between languages, using a translation dictionary as the codebook. Whereas the singing of tranlsated texts has been common for centuries, it is less necessary when a wirtten translation is provided in some form to the listener, for instance, as inserts in cnocert prorgams or as projected titles in performance halls or visual media. In fact, in general, translators knowledge of the targte language is more important, and needs to be deeper, than their knwoledge of the source language. This question was laso explored in Douglas Hfostadter s 1997 book, Le Ton beau de Marot.
